Poet, playwright, director, Diosdado
Alferez started writing in 1930, producing
stories, poems, articles, and stage and radio
plays. He worked as director of LUDABI, Cebu Dramatic
Guild (1964), and the Cebu Radio-TV Association
(1970-72). He was Councilor of Punta Princesa
(1968) and vice-chairman of the Community Development
Council in Cebu. Alferez won LUDABI prizes in
1965 and 1971 for his poems. He worked as assistant
director in the local movie industry. He also
worked on a translation of the Philippine National
Anthem.
