Pacifico N. Aprieto

 

            Pacifico Aprieto was born on September 25, 1968 in Tondo, Manila. He is an essayist, fictionist, columnist in Philippine Starweek, and the Director of Instructional Materials Corporation. He studied in the University of the Philippines.

            His many publications include:

  • Tondo by Two (co-author, 1961, 1980, short stories)
  • The Case Against Marcelo Dungo (1980, short stories and essays)
  • Book Publishing and Philippine Scholarship (1981, essay)
  • From the Director’s Desk (1983, essays)
  • Signs of the Times (1984, essays)
  • Things You Don’t Read in the Papers (1986, essays)
  • Eleven Stories for Children (19988)
  • Dinosaurs Walk the Earth (1988, essays)

He received the grant for Asia Foundation Fellowship, Columbia School of Journalism and was a member of the Book Development Association of the Philippines.
