Born on July 27, 1920, Sergio Alfafara
was the son of Epifanio Alfafara. He studied at
the Seminario de San Carlos and later became parish
priest of Tabunok, Talisay. He was publisher of
Karon and editor of Lungsoranon. He wrote and
translated Cebuano religious books and missals.
He published in serial form Sugboanon nga
Gramatika, a disquisition on Cebuano grammar.
His pen name was Napoleon Alferez.
