| Joi Barrios
has taught in the United States and Japan. She is
currently assistant dean of the College of Arts
and Letters in UP Diliman. She also serves as Associate
of the UP Institute of Creative Writing. Gabriela:
An Oratorio features her book and lyrics. It was
staged by the Dulaang UP and was directed by theater
great Tony Mabesa. She holds a doctorate degree
in Philippine Literature and can sometimes be seen
on television.
