Gabriela Lee
was born in 1984 in Quezon City , Metro Manila.
She graduated cum laude with a degree
in Creative Writing at the University of the Philippines
Diliman in 2005. She has been a Fellow for Poetry
in English in the UP, Iligan, and Dumaguete National
Writing Workshops. Her poetry has been published
in the Sunday Inquirer Magazine, the Philippine
Free Press, and the UP Writers' Club The Literary
Apprentice . Her first collection of poems,
Disturbing the Universe , was published
under the UBOD New Authors Series of the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts. She also
has a children's book that she co-wrote with her
mother Marcy Dans-Lee, entitled La-on and
the Seven-Headed Dragon , and published under
Adarna House, Inc. Her fiction has appeared in
the Philippine Free Press, in the Philippine
Speculative Fiction Vol.1 edited by Dean
Francis Alfar, and in the Literary Issue of The
Philippine Studies Journal of the Ateneo
de Manila University, edited by Benilda Santos.
She is currently employed as a project manager
for Kestrel IMC and is also a freelance copywriter,
editor, and magazine contributor.
