Rizaldy Manrique finished
AB English (Major in Creative Writing) in UP-Diliman.
For three years, he taught English and Literature
subjects at UP Manila. His poetry and fiction
have appeared in Philippines Free Press, Bikol
Reporter, Bangraw, The Paper, Hingowa and
other publications. He attended the 40th UP National
Writers Workshop as Fellow in Bikol Poetry. An
active member of KABULIG-Bikol, an organization
of Bikol Contemporary literary writers, his short
story in Bikol entitled “Pacto de Sangre”
won the grand prize in the Osipon category during
the 1st Premio Tomas Arejola Para sa Literaturang
Bikolnon. At present, he is the Executive Vice-President
of the Modern Learning Center of Iriga City, a
private elementary school.
