Ramon "Rayvi" Sunico
belongs to an illustrious clan of artists and
achievers. He is a much-respected bilingual poet
who has also written children's books and textbooks.
Among his many awards are Palanca and Philippines
Free Press prizes for poetry. He is also
a translator, editor and book designer.
He is currently a teacher and lecturer at his alma mater, Ateneo de Manila
and manager of Cacho Publishing House Inc. His
volume Bruise: A 2-Tongue Job was co-winner
of the National Critics' Award for Poetry Book
of the Year in 1996. Sunico is National Fellow
for Poetry 2006 of the UP Institute of Creative
Writing.
